Overview

The Coordinator, Meetings and Corporate Partnerships for the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) assists with all aspects of planning and implementing SMFM’s onsite educational courses and associated exhibitor and sponsorship support and fulfillment tasks.

In Short

  • Assist with online database input of exhibit and sponsorship applications.
  • Respond to exhibitor inquiries and requests.
  • Ensure successful fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.
  • Provide onsite logistics and exhibitor support.
  • Coordinate course faculty and manage meeting materials.
  • Support the RFP process for vendors.
  • Draft and review communications for faculty, attendees, and exhibitors.
  • Provide general administrative support to the meetings team.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to manage deliverables.
  • Travel to three meetings per year as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in meeting planning.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of association management systems and event technology software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Must live in the Greater Washington DC area.
  • Ability to travel and flexibility with work hours.
  • Commitment to professionalism and error-free work.
