Overview

Smiths Interconnect is seeking a Product Development Engineer to provide engineering expertise in product design and development, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.

In Short

• Design and develop new products and redesign existing ones.
• Provide technical support to stakeholders and customers.
• Participate in product and technology roadmap development.
• Prepare technical proposals and presentations.
• Conduct patent assessments and prepare technical documents.
• Interface with suppliers for component evaluation.
• Participate in EHS programs and training.
• Mentor junior-level technologists.
• Demonstrate company policy behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of post-graduate experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience with SolidWorks and understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of engineering mechanics and manufacturing methods.
• Familiarity with electrical theories and mechanical design effects.
• Experience with Six Sigma and FMEA preferred.
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis preferred.
• Experience in electromagnetic and RF simulations preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex problems.
