We are seeking a Senior Linguistic Engineer to join our team. We are a small, tight-knit, dynamic group of data scientists and engineers building and maintaining various smart systems that our customers rely on to maximize their value in using our platform. You will be responsible for tasks like identifying, improving, and designing next generation models and techniques for translation generation and translation quality assessment; staying current on relevant research and distilling knowledge back to the team; advising and designing systems with engineering and product to push our offerings to the next level.

It’s a great match for you if you love to solve hard problems. You will work directly with the Product, Engineering, and Language Services departments to solve our customers' problems with data models and work in the natural language space with billions of data points.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in linguistic engineering or related fields.
• Expert knowledge of general linguistics.
• Experience with translation quality analysis systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of data science techniques.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP techniques.
• Basic understanding of Notebooks and Terminals.
• Bilingualism or fluency in multiple languages is preferred.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools is a plus.
