SmartAsset is looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience to help build and optimize the backbone of our data platform. In this role, you’ll design and implement high-impact, cloud-native solutions that improve data reliability, reduce latency, and scale with our growing business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• 3+ years of Python experience, especially with FastAPI.
• Strong SQL skills for query optimization.
• Expertise in dbt and Snowflake.
• Experience with AWS data services.
• Familiarity with data observability tools.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
• Mentoring experience preferred.
• Knowledge of analytics tools like Tableau is beneficial.
