Quantitative Research Analyst - Remote

Overview

As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced analytical frameworks to support critical decision-making processes across multiple departments. You will lead initiatives that leverage data-driven insights, applying modeling and statistical analysis to inform strategic decisions related to operations, financial policy, and risk management, enabling smarter decisions and ultimately driving organizational success.

• Analyze large, complex datasets to provide strategic insights into fraud risk management, payment operations, and related operational optimizations.
• Conduct in-depth competitive market analysis, identifying market trends, gaps, and opportunities for product and operational optimizations.
• Implement technical models to assess financial performance and business efficiencies, as well as user trends and patterns via behavioral data mining and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with team leads and cross-functional departments to define data-driven roadmaps in order to support strategic decision-making for key stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, factor analysis, and machine learning to solve complex business problems and drive key initiatives.
• Lead the design and development of robust data models and reporting frameworks, utilizing SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools for actionable insights.
• Communicate complex analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, visual, and intuitive graphical representations of data.
• Provide analytical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and promote a data-centric culture across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytics-heavy field; Master’s or PhD is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantitative research, statistical analysis, or data science.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
• Advanced experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
• Proven ability to independently design, execute, and communicate results from large-scale research projects.
• Experience applying advanced statistical techniques, with expertise in software packages like R, Python, SPSS.
• Familiarity with advanced machine learning techniques is a plus.
• Experience in financial risk analysis, fraud detection, or related fields is preferred.
