Overview

Skylight is a technology startup focused on creating consumer products that improve family life. We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team and help scale our operations.

In Short

• Oversee and optimize all accounting operations including inventory, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Lead the month-end close process and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and implement policies and internal controls.
• Manage annual financial statement audits.
• Identify and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and tax filings.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, with 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a high-growth startup is a plus.
• Deep understanding of inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
