Senior Civil Engineer / Planner for Battery Storage Projects (m/f/d) - Remote

Shift Energy's vision is to stop climate change by revolutionizing the energy landscape with available technologies such as wind, photovoltaics, and battery storage. We create stationary battery parks in commercial and industrial areas to enable a complete transition to renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the approval process of our battery parks nationwide (preliminary building permit, building permit).
• Independently drive project approvals and coordinate the preparation of all necessary documents and reports.
• Build relationships with building authorities to successfully obtain permits.
• Collaborate with our planning and engineering offices on fire protection, noise protection, EMC, access, soil reports, foundation, etc.
• Coordinate further construction planning up to execution planning.
• Be ready to take on project management for individual projects.

Requirements

• Completed university degree in civil engineering, architecture, or similar.
• At least 5 - 10 years of professional experience in a planning or architecture office.
• Solid knowledge of German building regulations and planning law.
• Extensive experience in applying for and accompanying building permits - experience with battery storage, PV, or wind is an advantage.
• Independent, structured working style with a proactive mentality.
• Hands-on approach - able to draw plans and make calls to advance the project.
• Chamber approval (e.g., architects' chamber, engineers' chamber) is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Native German speaker.

• 💸 Compensation: good base salary + significant performance-based compensation
