Summer Calibration Services Technician - Remote

Overview

This is a summer internship opportunity for a Summer Calibration Services Technician in Boston, MA, requiring 80% travel throughout the Greater Boston area.

In Short

• Seasonal internship from June through August 2025.
• Perform in-field installation, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring units.
• Follow health and safety protocols and document field activities.
• Provide excellent customer service for SmartSense clients.
• Field calibration of real-time indoor air quality sensors.
• Inspect and troubleshoot systems onsite.
• Use small hand tools for sensor repairs.
• Communicate unresolved issues in a timely manner.
• Requires a valid driver's license and CORI certification.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a science or technology field.
• Associate’s degree in a science or technology field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science or technology field preferred.
• Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory preferred.
• Proficient English language skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to travel up to 80% locally.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs.
