People Operations Generalist I - Remote

Overview

The People Operations Generalist is responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the HR department including onboarding/offboarding, employee job changes, personnel documentation, reporting requests, responding to employee inquiries, benefits, and leave administration. This role reports to the Director, People Operations.

In Short

• Onboards new hires and creates offers of employment.
• Ensures background checks are processed through HR System.
• Updates New Hire Teams channel with all new hires.
• Handles administrative tasks for onboarding and new hire orientations.
• Consults to leaders on employee operations.
• Maintains employee records and ensures certifications are up to date.
• Acts as a resource to employees for day-to-day questions.
• Maintains the company HR Portal for employees and managers.
• Partners with hiring managers to identify personnel needs.
• Prepares and delivers internal communication regarding policy changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience as a People Operations Generalist.
• Prior HRIS experience (Rippling preferred).
• Strong knowledge of employment/labor laws.
• Attention to detail and analytically driven.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to act with integrity and confidentiality.
