Software Engineering Teaching Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Software Engineering Teaching Assistant (TA) will facilitate the delivery of a summer residency program for students studying computer science, providing mentorship and support throughout the program.

In Short

• Part-time remote position from June 11th to August 1st, 2025.
• Approximately 29 hours per week from June 23rd to August 1st.
• 5-10 hours per week from June 11th to June 20th.
• Lead workshops and provide office hours for students.
• Oversee student projects culminating in presentations.
• Strong Python skills required.
• Proficiency in web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Trello).
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Optional in-person conference in NYC from August 3rd to 6th.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills and understanding of technology's social implications.
• Proficiency with version control and debugging.
• Working knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring.
• At least one year of full-time software engineering experience.
• Understanding of the tech industry hiring process.
