Overview

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Family Maternity Center Team. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

In Short

• Position available for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum.
• Work shift is third shift (Nights) from 7pm to 7am.
• Join a recognized Family Maternity Center with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• 24-hour coverage by board-certified pediatricians and anesthesiologists.
• Utilize evidence-based practices for care of moms and babies.
• Must have a Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN license in good standing.
• Experience in women’s health preferred, but other nursing experience may be considered.

Requirements

• RN-Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Critical thinking and time management skills are essential.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
