Registered Nurse - Observation/Transitional Care Unit - Remote

Overview

Sentara Health is seeking an RN for its Observation/Transitional Care Unit, a 9-bed short stay unit used to care for med-surg patients who will be discharged within 24-48 hours.

In Short

• Position Status: Full-Time Night Shift
• Location: Sentara Norfolk General
• Minimum Requirements: RN Licensure - Virginia Required
• BSN, RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Diploma Required
• Two years of nursing experience Preferred
• Previous acute care experience Preferred
• Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care
• Coordinates with a multidisciplinary team for patient placement
• Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care

Requirements

• RN Licensure in Virginia
• BSN or equivalent nursing degree
• Two years of nursing experience is preferred
• Experience in acute care is preferred
• Ability to assess and develop patient care plans
• Strong communication skills for teamwork

• Willingness to work night shifts
• Clinical knowledge relevant to the patient population
• Ability to coordinate capacity management plans
