Overview

The Patient Care Technician provides essential patient care and support in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring compliance with safety practices and effective communication with nursing staff.

In Short

  • Provide patient care and support activities of daily living.
  • Monitor and document patients' conditions.
  • Perform vital signs, mobility assistance, and phlebotomy.
  • Conduct point of care and EKG testing.
  • Assist with specimen collection and foley catheter procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Join a dedicated team in a sixteen-bed medical/surgical ICU.
  • Opportunities for new or experienced candidates.
  • Comply with patient safety practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of a relevant certification program (CNA, MA, etc.).
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Experience as a PCT or Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • Current enrollment in a clinical program is acceptable.
  • Ability to observe and report patient conditions accurately.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and care quality.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a caring attitude.
