Overview

Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital located in Virginia Beach on Surgery Unit 5B. This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.

In Short

• Full-time position, 7am to 7pm with every other weekend.
• Work in a busy 24-bed unit treating post-surgery patients.
• Accountable to and work under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Implement delegated aspects of nursing care.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.

Requirements

• One of the following certifications: CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or similar.
• Current work experience as a PCT or Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Must be enrolled in a clinical program or have relevant experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
