Overview

The Operating Room Attendant supports professional staff in caring for the surgical patient by transporting patients and ensuring the operating room is prepared and clean.

In Short

• Support transportation of surgical patients.
• Clean operating room suites between procedures.
• Stock anesthesia supplies and clean anesthesia machines.
• Assist in positioning surgical patients.

• No prior experience required, but preferred.
• Must have CPR certification.

• Work at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Saver AED/CPR certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience in Environmental Services or operating room preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
