Overview

The Operating Room Attendant works under the direction of the Operating Room Attendant Supervisor to ensure the operating rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for surgeries, while providing high-quality service.

In Short

• Assist in the turnover of operating rooms.
• Wipe down equipment and mop floors in the OR.
• Restock supplies and housekeeping carts.
• Pick up patient beds for surgeries.
• Make runs to the Lab and Blood Bank as needed.
• Work rotating shifts of 8 and 12 hours.
• Provide efficient and compassionate service.
• Support various surgical specialties including Orthopedics.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Comply with safety and health regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Six months to one year of prior OR assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Flexibility to work on-call weekends.
• Understanding of healthcare standards and protocols.
