Senior Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll spearhead our technical efforts to bring our DevSecOps platform (Game Warden) onto multi-cloud fabrics. Second Front Systems is working to accelerate the transition and adoption of emerging technology into the national security ecosystem, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking professionals who want to operate on the front lines of an exciting and disruptive mission.

In Short

• Architect, improve, implement, and operate a cloud-native platform for deploying software as a service offerings.
• Conduct research and development to deliver the Game Warden platform onto classified fabrics.
• Work cross-functionally to build, test, validate, and operate Game Warden in compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with government interlocutors to provision and secure cloud-based resources.
• Establish benchmarks and prioritize efforts across multiple initiatives.
• Develop and document new solutions independently.
• Work in a fast-paced agile environment to deliver exceptional software solutions.
• Maintain a strong commitment to documentation and organizational skills.
• Travel up to 25% for on-site configurations and deployments.
• Possess or obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Requirements

• Architect-level experience in cloud-based infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in containerization and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi and crossplane.
• Strong coding skills with Golang or Rust.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interest in national security.
