Director of Finance - Remote

Overview

The Director of Finance at Search Atlas Group will lead the financial operations, modernize financial processes, and utilize AI tools to provide actionable insights for leadership.

In Short

• Fully remote position with potential in-person work if located in San Francisco.
• Responsible for end-of-month P&L reporting across all business entities.
• Modernize financial operations and reporting infrastructure.
• Utilize AI tools, specifically Claude Code, for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Advise on M&A, fundraising efforts, and capital deployment.
• Collaborate with department leads to enhance financial reporting.
• Manage payments to vendors and contractors.
• Identify and recommend additional financial reports and KPIs.
• Support preparation for IPO or acquisition.
• Work closely with the CEO and finance team.

Requirements

• 6+ years in finance, with 2+ years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Proven track record of owning P&L reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience with fundraising rounds and M&A processes.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to build models independently.
• Fluency in AI tools, especially Claude Code.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and multi-entity accounting.
• Experience with SaaS metrics.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex financial narratives.
• Self-directed and comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
• Bonus: Experience with publisher/affiliate payment operations.
