Spanish Bilingual Nursing Virtual Assistant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant (Spanish-English) with a nursing or healthcare background to support a U.S.-based clinical team. In this role, you'll handle patient communications, coordinate care, and manage administrative processes all while ensuring accuracy, empathy, and professionalism across both languages.

In Short

• Communicate with patients in Spanish and English via phone, text, email, or patient portals.
• Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups through EMR/EHR systems.
• Explain care instructions and clinic procedures (within scope; not diagnosing).
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Support billing, documentation, and insurance coordination as needed.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Provide compassionate and efficient support while upholding HIPAA standards.

Requirements

• Nursing education or clinical experience required (CNA, MA, RN, or similar preferred).
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare, telehealth, or medical office setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Athena, Kareo, SimplePractice) is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable in remote work settings.
• Ability to handle confidential information and follow HIPAA compliance.
