In Short

• Seeking a skilled Payroll Accountant to work independently and under the direction of the Assistant Controller.
• Must have at least 5 years of progressive payroll experience with a medium or large company.
• Minimum 2 years experience processing payroll for 200+ employees.
• Experience with large ERP systems and payroll service providers like Paycom and ADP.
• Understand compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to think critically and analyze problems.
• Maintain productive working relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with HR.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and ability to reconcile accounts.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) welcomed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and large payroll provider systems.
• Experience in government contract accounting and manufacturing accounting is desired.
