Quality Technician - Nights - Remote

Overview

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control testing on dairy products during the night shift, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and regulations.

In Short

• Collect and test samples of raw ingredients and finished dairy products.
• Perform microbiological and analytical testing in compliance with guidelines.
• Communicate out-of-specification results effectively.
• Maintain quality control records and documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Prepare customer certificates of analysis.
• Adhere to federal and state dairy food regulations.
• Support product recall programs as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Food or Dairy Science preferred.
• Experience with food quality specifications and process control monitoring.
• Strong math and computer skills (SAP, Microsoft Office).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain regulatory certifications as required.
• Knowledge of food safety acronyms (HACCP, GMP, etc.) is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Demonstrated work history in quality assurance or related fields.
• Ability to perform good laboratory housekeeping.
• Adherence to the Saputo Code of Ethics.
