Field Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Field Engineer will provide Tier-1 support for the VIPER system, ensuring optimal performance through maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support.

In Short

• Provide Tier-1 support for the deployed VIPER system.
• Conduct site surveys for system deployment planning.
• Perform preventive maintenance and checks.
• Execute corrective diagnostics and guided repairs.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of software and hardware.
• Provide technical support for remote problem resolution.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Work independently with reach-back support.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills required.
• Active security clearance is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in field engineering or technical support.
• Proficiency in hardware and software maintenance.
• Experience with Windows and networking troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work with U.S. government end users.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
• Understanding of government contracting processes.
• Prior U.S. Coast Guard or Navy experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
