Senior Systems Engineer – 5G Air Interface Call Processing - Remote

Overview

Samsung Electronics America (SEA) is seeking an ambitious Senior Systems Engineer, 5G Air Interface Call Processing to join our Networks Engineering organization. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for the development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis, conduct deep-dive customer sessions and new technology introduction of virtualized networks.

In Short

• Analyze customer requirements and convert them into system requirements.
• Conduct performance analysis and evaluate new product releases.
• Provide technical support during the pre-sales process.
• Educate customers on Samsung’s new products and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product roll-outs.
• Lead and mentor a team as a systems architect.
• Travel sporadically during projects.
• Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G Wireless Call Protocols.
• Utilize protocol analyzers and test tools for performance evaluation.
• Ensure customer commitments are achieved according to plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE/CS; advanced degree is beneficial.
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in wireless.
• Understanding of 5G concepts such as Hybrid Beamforming and Massive MIMO.
• Experience with 3GPP Rel-16/17 features.
• Strong knowledge in 5G and 4G air interface and call processing technologies.
• Experience with protocol analyzers and test tools.
• Understanding of 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks.
• Experience with system engineering activities.
• Experience with software development is beneficial.
