Debt Collection Officer - Remote

Overview

The Debt Collection Officer will be responsible for managing client accounts and ensuring timely payments through effective communication and negotiation.

In Short

• Contact clients via email, letters, and phone calls for payment reminders.
• Assist clients and firms with their requests and updates.
• Manage various phases of debt collection: amicable, pre-litigation, and litigation.
• Negotiate payment plans tailored to individual situations.
• Maintain client relationships.
• Analyze accounts to reduce DSO and ensure collections.
• Identify and resolve disputes with the business.
• Prepare and monitor litigation files.
• Manage collective procedures.
• Generate reports on receivables and necessary actions.

Requirements

• Minimum education level: Bac +2 in accounting and/or debt collection.
• At least 4 years of experience in debt collection.
• Proficient in office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Knowledge of SAP or a debt collection ERP.
• Skills in negotiation, analysis, and organization.
• Experience in client account management.
