As a backend engineer, you will report to the VP of Data and Engineering, and you will work closely and cross-functionally across the entire organization, while having ownership over the full spectrum of marketplace platform development.

Deliver on the technical architecture of the product and refine as required to stay relevant to the functional & technical goals
Partner closely across Technology and Product teams to deliver a high-quality product to our customers
Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing solutions
Use modern tools and techniques to contribute to the full lifecycle of software architecture, development, and testing
Act as technical lead for one or more software development initiatives
Develop cloud-native services and applications
Lead and document solution design and technical strategy for initiatives
Communicate with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements
Share information and ideas to improve project execution and outcomes
Manage competing priorities to consistently meet commitments and deadlines

Requirements

BA or BS, preferably in computer science, engineering or science / technology-based disciplines
At least 5 years of experience programming professionally
Experience on the development side of B2B marketplaces or trading platforms a huge plus
Expertise in design patterns, application architecture, data structures, and algorithms
Expert level experience in modern software development including Agile development
Experience with AWS platform is desirable
Working knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus
Strong programming skills with demonstrated ability to architect, design, and develop software solutions
Demonstrated ability to lead software development projects
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
