Senior Risk Analyst - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Risk Analyst at Route, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company and its merchant partners from financial risk by leading risk mitigation strategies and overseeing fraud prevention initiatives.

In Short

• Develop and lead Route’s fraud and claims risk mitigation strategy
• Mentor Risk Analysts and ensure alignment with team goals
• Identify fraudulent actors through data analysis
• Assess merchant accounts for financial risk trends
• Partner with third-party fraud prevention vendors
• Lead response efforts for abnormal fraud activity
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Claims teams
• Work with Product to improve operational processes
• Support frontline teams with fraud-related inquiries
• Provide weekday coverage during the holidays

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in fraud prevention or risk operations
• Strong data analysis skills, including SQL and Looker
• Leadership experience with team development
• Proactive mindset for identifying risks
• Clear communicator able to translate data into insights
• Familiarity with fraud detection tools
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
