Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Data Analyst with a deep understanding of data modeling principles, advanced SQL skills, and a diverse background in COTS, Supply Chain and Logistics and the VISTA software data architecture to join our growing Data Engineering Team. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and other stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document data requirements, support cleansing and migration of data, ensuring data integrity, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven projects. This role is 100% remote.

In Short

• Collaborate with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and end users to gather and analyze data requirements.
• Work with data engineers to understand the technical landscape, data sources, and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data models and ETL processes.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data pipelines and warehouses.
• Support data quality and validation procedures.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of complex datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and mappings.
• Create and maintain Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
• Utilize advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to align with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on data modeling and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
