Overview

The Virtual Medical Assistant / Patient Advocate role at Ro involves providing empathetic and administrative support to patients and healthcare providers in a fast-paced telehealth environment.

In Short

  • Provide concierge-style service to patients, answering non-clinical questions.
  • Support providers with non-clinical administrative tasks.

  • Provide feedback on workflow and clinical protocols.
  • Pilot initiatives to enhance patient retention and optimize operations.
  • Manage prior authorizations for weight management patients.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Available for some weekend and holiday shifts.

Requirements

  • Preferred experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years in an administrative or customer-facing role.
  • 1 year of experience with insurance plans (a plus).
  • Experience in a clinical care role preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with EHR systems.
  • Adaptable in changing environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
