Estimator Associate - Substation - Remote

Overview

The Estimator Associate - Substation assists in preparing cost estimates for renewable energy and utility-owned substations related to high voltage electrical substation construction scopes of work.

In Short

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for substation projects.
• Handle project task assignments for multiple estimates.
• Review RFP specifications and drawings.
• Request and receive vendor quotes for materials and services.
• Perform quantity take-offs from RFP documents.
• Assist in developing cost and schedule documentation.
• Maintain current market data for accurate estimating.
• Work hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in estimate reviews and provide input.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or associate’s degree in a related field.
• 2 years industry experience or relevant degree.
• Experience in substation construction estimating preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically 5 to 15%.
• Basic knowledge of substation construction.
• Experience with estimating software preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Intermediate math and computer skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
