Overview

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.

Repair is building a national Jewish service movement of flourishing Jewish communities that serve in pursuit of a just world. Repair mobilizes young adults to serve in their communities, catalyzes service through deep partnerships with Jewish communal organizations, and inspires people to take action through time-bound thematic national service campaigns. Our mission provides volunteers with an increased connection to meaningful service and learning as a Jewish value, builds capacity for nonprofit partners to meet their missions, and deepens connections across lines of difference.

In Short

  • Oversee strategic direction and program quality for Repair’s community impact initiatives.
  • Supervise four city directors across various locations.
  • Develop comprehensive program strategies tailored to local community needs.
  • Lead program evaluation initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Foster relationships with Jewish communal organizations and civic partners.
  • Manage operational functions and resource allocation across multiple sites.
  • Engage in local fundraising efforts to achieve revenue goals.
  • Travel approximately once per month for community engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with another Senior Director of Community Impact.
  • Champion Jewish values and service learning in all program decisions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit or communal settings.
  • Strong understanding of Jewish communal landscape and values.
  • Experience in multi-site program management.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions on equity and community issues.
