Overview

This internship role supports Relief International in processing applications for Afghan nationals under the US Refugee Admissions Program, ensuring accurate completion and logging of applications.

In Short

  • Support the HR team with the US Refugee Admissions Program.
  • Liaise with the RI HR team in Afghanistan.
  • Verify applications against identity documents.
  • Upload verified applications to the US P2 program portal.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of all applications uploaded.
  • Handle follow-up queries with the Afghan HR team.
  • Learn about HR work in an international context.
  • Develop skills in communication and organization.
  • Promote safeguarding practices.
  • Engage with key staff and represent the HR team.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Dari and Pashtu.
  • Understanding of Afghanistan's political and social context.
  • Analytical and methodical approach.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized with prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in IT, database experience is a plus.
