Buyer Planner III - Remote

Overview

The Buyer Planner III is responsible for scheduling and purchasing materials and production components to meet customer requirements while maximizing value and minimizing costs through various lean manufacturing tools.

In Short

• Implement and improve Kanban systems.
• Minimize material stock-outs using problem-solving processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal operations.
• Drive inventory reduction and cost savings initiatives.
• Participate in daily order review and management meetings.
• Support various internal teams including Customer Service and Quality.
• Resolve invoice matching issues with Accounts Payable.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to address quality and delivery issues.
• Report to Materials Manager II and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in production/material planning.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in JIT/Kanban environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle systems is desirable.
• Ability to analyze data and execute strategic plans.
• Willingness to travel by all forms of transportation.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization.
