Overview

Thoughtworks is looking for a Principal Engineer/Consultant, with expertise and experience in building and delivering banking and financial services technology, to join the APAC BFSI (Banking and Financial Services Industry) vertical in Australia.

In Short

• Leading and partnering with Tech Principals and Tech Leads to define product and technology vision for clients.
• Facilitating and leading workshops on financial systems and composable architectures.
• Advising clients on delivering technology solutions using architectural guiding principles.
• Working with business stakeholders to ensure a coherent architectural story.
• Presenting target architectures and technology solutions to senior client stakeholders.
• Capturing product features needed to allow clients to realise value.
• Collaborating on the analysis and design of complex banking applications.
• Unearthing root causes of client pain points and delivering solutions.
• Prioritizing and resolving conflicts with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of financial services domains like core banking and payments.
• Core Banking Transformation experience.
• Understanding of end-to-end journeys of banking products.
• Knowledge of customisations around Core Banking products.
• Experience in modernisation and migration in financial technology.
• Strong technical background with familiarity in programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like Kubernetes and Kafka.
• Knowledge of established architectural patterns.
• Experience in security and system performance management.
• Strong client-facing skills.
