Overview

The Deployment Infrastructure team is looking to hire a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on creating robust, automated, deployment systems that balance reliability and efficiency. In this role you’ll be both a leader in designing our platform and a key contributor to the platform’s code base.

In Short

  • Work collaboratively with a team of software engineers to build and deploy software capable of orchestrating complex deployment workflows.
  • Progressively roll out services globally.
  • Achieve automated rollback of failed deployments.
  • Provide insight and monitoring around the health of deployments.
  • Integrate open source technologies and contribute to them.
  • Build end user tooling, for example CLI utilities in Go.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the deployment infrastructure team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the infrastructure and/or deployment domain with a focus on software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Go (Preferred), Rust, or Python.
  • Experience developing on top of Kubernetes or similar distributed systems.
  • Experience with continuous delivery systems such as Argo, Flux, Temporal.
  • Strong troubleshooting competency.
  • Experience designing large systems and building consensus with other engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
