Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Points Guy team is looking for a Data Engineer to build data products and create the foundation that powers machine learning and business analytics efforts.

In Short

• Design and build data pipelines from various sources to data warehouse.
• Engineer reliable data pipelines using Python/Spark jobs.
• Partner with analytics and product teams to create scalable data models.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and data engineering/ETL work.
• Experience with AWS and Spark/SparkSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and GitHub.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Databricks.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling.
• Operational support for production data pipelines.
• Experience with SaaS tools like Fivetran is a plus.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with SQL.
• 3+ years of experience performing production data engineering/ETL work.
• 3+ years of experience with one of the major cloud providers.
• 3+ years of experience working on Spark/SparkSQL.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with orchestration tools.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Conceptual understanding of data warehousing.
• Experience providing operational support for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with SaaS tools is a plus.
