Senior Protein Scientist - Remote

Overview

As Senior Protein Scientist, you will be instrumental in driving the success of Recursion’s pipeline by managing CRO partnerships for protein production. You’ll be responsible for ensuring excellence in recombinant protein design, expression, purification, and QC to assist critical discovery projects from early stages through Lead Optimisation.

In Short

• Act as a contact and expert in protein production outsourcing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and CROs to optimize strategies for challenging protein targets.

• Assist in the delivery of concise reports summarizing the CRO portfolio status.

• Support experimental teams for biophysical characterization of target proteins.

Requirements

• PhD/DPhil in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related science.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial Protein Sciences environment.
• Experience in designing constructs and protein engineering for recombinant protein production.
• Proven experience in cell culturing techniques and expression of recombinant proteins.
• Experience in purification and QC of recombinant proteins.
• Ability to use protein analysis techniques to study and optimize recombinant proteins.
• Demonstrable analytical approach to problem solving.
