Cybersecurity Architect - Remote

Overview

The Cybersecurity Architect position will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program, providing support to other Units and Offices within the VA to ensure the success of the program's mission.

In Short

• Plan, design, and oversee deployment of complex enterprise-wide information architectures.
• Ensure systems are compliant with open systems architecture standards.
• Review technical documentation to assess security issues.
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve IT and cyber problems.
• Document cybersecurity risks and escalate to leadership.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for technical issues.
• Provide input to cybersecurity artifacts and technical briefings.
• Collect information necessary for responsibilities.
• Submit Monthly Status Reports to management.
• Complete compliance training as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• 5+ years of professional work experience in a related field.
• Experience in identifying interfaces between applications and legacy IT environments.
• Experience supporting program/project planning and milestone development.
• VA experience preferred.
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records.
