Infra Engineer - Datacenters - Remote

This is a remote position available anywhere in the world! At Railway, we make it simple to ship anything. This role bridges the universe of atoms to the universe of bits, focusing on building datacenters designed for performance, resilience, and reliability.

In Short

• Remote position available globally.
• Build application level code using Golang, GRPC, Postgres.
• Utilize OS primitives like syscalls and cgroups.
• Lead projects from inception to delivery.
• Communicate effectively using RFCs and documentation.
• Be on-call 1-2 weeks per quarter.

• Design datacenter layouts for efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience with application level coding (Golang, GRPC, Postgres).
• Knowledge of OS primitives (syscalls, cgroups).
• Experience in project delivery and scaling.
• Ability to communicate complex tasks clearly.
• Experience in monitoring and alert systems.
• Willingness to be on-call periodically.
• Ability to prioritize and focus on critical tasks.
