Overview

A Senior Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in the sales organization by identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities. This position involves prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings for the sales team while also mentoring junior SDRs.

In Short

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential clients within target markets.
  • Use various outreach methods to generate new leads and build a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they are a good fit.
  • Set up qualified meetings or demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers.
  • Mentor junior SDRs, sharing best practices and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate information in the CRM system regarding leads and activities.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align on campaigns and lead scoring.
  • Track personal and team performance metrics to improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge and sales techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales development or inside sales role.
  • Experience in a B2B environment, preferably in technology or SaaS.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data to drive sales strategies.
  • Resilience and tenacity in dealing with rejection.
