Overview

The Kubernetes Engineer will support Air Force Platform One and Air Mobility Command in ensuring that we maintain high uptime for their chat operations. This position will require working outside of regular business hours (east coast time) and involves designing, building, and running cloud architectures.

In Short

  • Support 24x7x365 operations for Air Mobility Command.
  • Design and implement resilient cloud architectures.
  • Manage different Kubernetes providers.
  • Maintain and monitor containers using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Implement Continuous Integration and Deployment.
  • Work on innovative R&D tasks.
  • Collaborate with other architects on security and data protection.
  • Possess expertise in Kubernetes and related technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Document implementations and processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and containers.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Software development background.
  • CKA Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours.
  • Experience in technical customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
