Overview

Power your future with Qualus as a Project Manager on our Engineering team. The Project Manager at Qualus is responsible for leading and managing engineering, engineer-procure (EP), and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects with a focus on high-voltage electrical substations. Our Project Managers play an important role in the growth are responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major electric transmission, distribution and substation projects. The successful candidate must possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with multiple complex projects.

In Short

• Lead engineering components of projects across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project scope, budget, cost, scheduling, and change control.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and vendors.
• Accountable for project outcomes.
• Contribute to internal process improvements.
• Develop and monitor project schedules.
• Prepare and present project status reports.
• Facilitate regular project meetings.
• Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in electric utility substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and utility interconnection requirements.
• Experience in project controls including scope, schedule, and cost management.
• Skilled in problem analysis and solution development.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates high work standards and understands business processes.
