Overview

The SAP ASE Database Administrator will work within a globally dispersed team to provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure, focusing on SAP ASE and related technologies.

In Short

• Continuously review capacity and predictive reports for resource allocation.
• Install, upgrade, and patch multiple versions of Sybase ASE.
• Manage incident responses and document solutions.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP ASE.
• Expert knowledge of Sybase DBA in critical environments.
• Experience with Sybase Replication Server and disaster recovery.
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
• Ability to script in Shell and Perl.
• Solid SQL and T-SQL skills.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus.
