Overview

As a Database Administrator in our North American Driver and Vehicle Solutions (DVIS) group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the database systems that underpin our suite of driver information system solutions for our US customers.

In Short

  • Design and develop database structures and schemas.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval.
  • Implement data security measures and ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor and tune database performance regularly.
  • Collaborate with application developers for integration.
  • Conduct database testing and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage backups and develop recovery plans.
  • Create and update technical documentation.
  • Utilize orchestration tools for database installations.
  • Provide technical support to development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of database administration experience.
  • Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling.
  • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work legally in the USA and fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel 3-4 weeks per year.
