Overview

The Editorial Research Associate is a member of PLOS’ Editorial Board Services team, focusing on developing and maintaining the Editorial Boards for PLOS’ suite of influential open-access journals.

In Short

• Identify and contact qualified individuals for editorial boards.
• Vet candidates against individual journals’ criteria.
• Collaborate with managers and stakeholders for board composition.
• Develop resources for board members.
• Provide feedback to editors for best practices.
• Prepare reports and conduct data analysis on board performance.
• Document relevant policies and procedures.
• Communicate updates during meetings.
• Monitor vendor team performance.
• Maintain quality of Editorial Board Member profiles.

Requirements

• Experience in scholarly publishing or research setting.
• Experience with database searching or mining.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with cross-cultural competencies.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
