Loss Mitigation Paralegal - Remote

Overview

The Loss Mitigation Paralegal plays a critical role in PROVE’s Servicing Department by investigating high-risk cases and safeguarding PROVE’s lien and recovery rights.

In Short

• Manage all aspects of No Longer Represented (NLR) case reviews.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for attorneys, paralegals, and plaintiffs.
• Investigate and resolve scenarios where settlement funds were improperly issued.
• Record all findings, communications, and actions in the case management system.
• Work closely with Resolution Managers and General Counsel.
• Identify early signs of legal or financial risk.
• Ensure PROVE’s lien position is preserved.
• Maintain a consistent communication cadence to obtain missing information.
• Coordinate refunds or netting arrangements.
• Pursue recovery until the matter is fully resolved.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; law degree or legal training strongly preferred.
• 2–5+ years of experience in related legal work.
• Excellent spoken and written English (C1/C2 level).
• Comfort with high-volume outreach and managing sensitive communications.
• Strong investigative skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively.
• Professional, clear, and empathetic communication style.
