Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will support accounting and business policies necessary for closing the books and supporting the business unit, including monthly closing processes and preparing financial reports.

In Short

• Monthly general ledger close and support for assigned plants.
• Detect and correct errors during the closing process.
• Review monthly operating statements and balance sheets.
• Calculate commissions and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare Daily Sales and Open Orders report.
• Assist with annual Fixed Asset/Leased Asset audit.
• Maintain effective communication with plant personnel.
• Promote strong internal controls.
• Participate in internal peer audits.
• Provide high-quality customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• 0-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills.
