Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

Astronomer is looking for a talented Staff Accountant to join their Finance Organization, focusing on best practices for employees and customers.

In Short

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including Journal Entries and account reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor cash balances and report unusual transactions.
• Manage customer accounts, generate invoices, and collect payments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally regarding billing and collections.
• Process and reconcile credit card transactions in Stripe.
• Participate in process improvement and financial system enhancements.
• Provide audit support as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and support team members.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of accounting experience, including financial close and reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with any ERP system.
• Previous experience in billing and collection.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline-driven, organized, and highly motivated.
