Senior DevOps & CI/CD Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced experts for a leading bank to support the "Service Layer Platform" (IT API) project. This initiative aims to establish uniform guidelines, processes, and technologies for the development and operation of API services, ensuring consistent service quality and high release capability, allowing for faster and more efficient implementation of new services.

In Short

• Implementation of DevOps standards in collaboration with internal specialists.
• Establishment of support tooling, knowledge databases, and 24/7 support concepts.
• Development of services with asynchronous communication and REST APIs.
• Improvement of IT processes (DevOps, Release Management) and introduction of standards for automated Dev tests.
• Focus on Kafka infrastructure (CDC, Stage Cleanup, Distributed Tracing, Logging Analysis Agents).
• Completed studies in Computer Science or similar.
• Several years of experience in a comparable role (implementation of IT services and processes).
• Deep understanding of IT processes (DevOps, Release Management, ITIL).
• Practical experience in developing services with asynchronous communication and REST APIs.
• Knowledge in Kafka Streams.

Requirements

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Argo CD, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Fluent German skills (documentation, training in German).
• On-site requirement: at least 3 times a week in St. Gallen, 1-2 days remote work.
• Engagement period: from April 1 or May 1, 2025, until December 31, 2025 (option for extension).
