Virtual Medical Scribe - Remote

Overview

The scribe performs medical record documentation and clerical duties to increase provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction.

In Short

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts to support healthcare providers.
• Virtually enter the patient room with the physician during patient visits.
• Update all components of the patient's medical record at the direction of the physician.
• Send all documentation to physician for review and approval.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to monitor lab results and screening procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient records.
• Support compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies.
• Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrate professionalism through adherence to attendance policies.
• Perform other clerical duties to improve provider productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Available to work two shifts per week for part-time or three shifts per week for full-time.
• Ability to understand HIPAA regulations.
• Must possess a personal computer and access to high-speed internet.
• Residency in a state approved for virtual work with ProScribe.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer proficiently.
