Medical Scribe - Remote

Overview

The Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health supports primary care providers with clinical documentation, allowing them to focus on exceptional patient care.

In Short

• Document patient encounters in real time.
• Assist providers with clinical documentation improvement.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries and assign appropriate codes.
• Provide administrative support for the care team.
• Commit to at least 1-2 years in the role.
• Gain practical experience in a clinical setting.
• Work full-time, approximately 40-45 hours per week.
• Participate in daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews.
• Adapt to new workflows and learn new concepts quickly.
• Work in-person in clinics.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Advanced listening and communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute.
• Excellent job attendance and team collaboration.
• Compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
• US work authorization required.
• Willingness to commit to the role for at least 1 year.
